Hiking

Hiking is one of our favorite adventures, and the whole family is encouraged to come! Be sure to bring the six essentials to every hike and campout — scouts are always prepared.

  1. First-Aid Kit: A small, simple kit containing basic supplies like adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment, and any personal medical needs.
  2. Filled Water Bottle: A reusable water bottle filled with clean water to stay hydrated.
  3. Flashlight: A small, working flashlight for emergency use or unexpected darkness.
  4. Trail Food: Healthy, energy-boosting snacks like trail mix, granola bars, or dried fruit.
  5. Sun Protection: Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and a hat or sunglasses to protect against UV rays.
  6. Whistle: An emergency tool used to signal for help if separated from the group.
